How to buy Festive Frames.

We have tried to make Festive Frames as bespoke and individual as possible for you. This means you have the choice to buy whatever suits your desires and circumstances. However that can make the buying choices quite vast and seemingly complicated. Here is the way to navigate the process.

1:   You initially have the choice of buying an individual kit or multi sculpture kits such as the  ¾ or Full kits.

The individual kit only has enough components to make the design you have chosen. This is ideal if you want to make the same design every time you assemble the kit.

The multi sculpture kits  Full and ¾  allow you to make many more designs. Therefore giving you more options for your future displays. However you can only one design at a time. For example the Full Kit has enough components to make any one of over 40 designs. It doesn't mean you can make all 40 deisgns at the same time as this would take tens of thousands of components. In some instances there will be enough unused components to make smaller second designs such as mini arches, stars etc. 

2: Once you have decided if you want to buy an individual kit or the Full or ¾ kits you need to decide if you want lights or not. If you feel confident that you already have enough lights of your own then you can opt for the Framework only kits.  If you wish to buy the kit with lights then you need to opt for the Kits with lights. Please note that the full kit with lights does not include enough lights to dress the Spider, Spitfire and Deluxe Sleigh with 6 Reindeer designs. Additional lights are needed for these 3 designs as follows.

To make the Spitfire from the full kit with lights you would need one additional set of lineout lights.

To make the Spider from the full kit with lights you would need one additional set of Warm White lights

To make the Deluxe Sleigh with 6 Reindeer  from the full kit with lights you would need two additional sets of Cool White lights.

3: There is one additional option which is called the Mega kit. This kit includes enough components to make any one of the designs without the need for any expansion packs. This is only relevant to the date on which you purchased the Mega kit as future designs may have additional components. In that circumstance an expansion pack would be made available.  As with all kits you have the option to purchase with or without lights. Please note that with the Mega Kit With Lights there are enough lights included for the Spider, Spitfire and Deluxe Sleigh with 6 Reindeer designs. So no additional lights need to be purchased.

How many designs can I make at the same time with a multi sculpture kit?

You can make just one of the designs your chosen kit makes at any one time. For example the Full Kit has enough components to make any one of over 40 designs. It doesn't mean you can make all 40 designs at the same time as this would take tens of thousands of components. In some instances there will be enough unused components to make smaller second designs such as mini arches, stars etc. 

Expansion Packs

Some designs require expansion packs when made using the ¾ or Full kit. These are indicated in the descriptions of the designs and are available in the Expansion Packs section. If you are making these designs with Individual Kits or the Mega Kit then Expansion packs are not required.

From September 2025 all Full Kits include Expansion Pack 1 free of charge (opens the way to 7 more download designs)

Upgrade Kits

Upgrade kits are found in the Upgrade Framework Only Kits or Upgrade Kits with lights. They should only be used to upgrade your existing kit from whatever kit you have to the Full Kit that makes multiple designs. 

Don't use upgrade kit options if you don't already have an individual kit. 

This would then conclude your initial purchase.

Future orders

Expanding your kit can seem complex as there are endless combinations of upgrades available. The notes below are there to help you but if you are unsure please email us at info@festiveframes.co.uk and tell us what you already have and what you would like to upgrade to and we will come back to you with the relevant advise and product links to achieve your goals.

If in the future you wish to add to or expand your existing kit there are numerous options available.

I have an individual framework only kit and wish to upgrade to the Full framework only kit.

If you have an individual framework only kit and wish to upgrade it to the Full kit you can do this by going to Upgrade kits and select the relevant upgrade kit depending on what individual kit you already have.

For example: If you have the Guitar kit and wish to upgrade to the full kit you select the guitar to full kit upgrade.

I have an individual kit with lights and wish to upgrade to the full framework with lights kit.

If you have an individual framework with lights kit and wish to upgrade it to the Full kit with lights you can do this by going to Upgrade kits with lights and select the relevant upgrade kit depending on what individual kit you already have.

For example: If you have the Guitar kit with lights and wish to upgrade to the full kit with lights you select the Guitar to full kit with lights upgrade.

I have an individual Framework only kit and wish to upgrade to the full framework with lights kit.

In this instance you will need to upgrade your individual framework kit with the relevant framework only upgrade kit and then go to the lights section and purchase the full kit lights pack

 For example: If you already have the Guitar kit Framework only kit and wish to upgrade to the Full kit with lights you select the guitar to full kit upgrade. and then go to lights and select the full kit lights pack

Special Note about Spider, Spitfire and Deluxe Sleigh with 6 Reindeer Lights.

These three designs use larger amounts of lights than the Full kit lights contain. If you wish to make any of these 3 designs with your full kit upgrade and want to include lights you would need to add additional lights as follows

To make the Spitfire from the full kit with lights you would need one additional set of lineout lights.

To make the Spider  from the full kit with lights you would need one additional set of Warm White lights

To make the Deluxe Sleigh with 6 Reindeer from the full kit with lights you would need two additional sets of Cool White lights.

If your original individual kit is one of these three designs, then you would not need to purchase more lights as you will already have them.

I have a ¾ Kit and would like to upgrade it to a Full kit

If you have a ¾ Framework only kit and would like to upgrade to a Full framework only kit you will need the ¾ to Full Framework Kit upgrade.

If you have a ¾ kit with lights and wish to upgrade to a Full Kit with lights you will need a ¾ to Full Kit With lights Upgrade.

Spare Parts

Should you wish to add further parts to your kit to make your own designs or replace any damaged or worn-out parts then parts are available for all framework components in the parts section.

Can I have a bespoke kit made to my own specification?

Yes this is possible. Please email us with your requirements and we will advise you info@festiveframes.co.uk

Can I ask for a bespoke design that isn't already represented on the website?

It takes a lot of time for us to develop new designs. We need to establish if the design will work in the large scale that we operate in and the constraints of our components. Then we need to develop the design and test build it for stability and structure. If all that goes well we then have to draw the design instructions up. All of this can take quite some time. We welcome your suggestions and requests as this is the way we can learn about what new designs are wanted. However we can't promise that your design suggestions will be possible. Please note that we do not include dry boxes or mains extension leads that may be required depending on your circumstances.
