Durability
Durability - Wear & Tear
Festive Frames took many years to develop. Endless trials of materials and then testing. Long term outdoor exposure to real elements, wind resistance, extreme temperatures etc. Many materials were tested and failed, either being too ridged, too flexible not durable enough and so on. Add to this the desire to take all of the different components and have them look like they are the same material was a challenging goal.
Connectors
The final product is the result of all that testing. Like anything that you use, be it machinery, vehicles, clothing, furnishings etc, there will inevitably be wear over time. The main components that are under stress are the connectors and these will eventually wear, especially those that are under more stress in a particular sculpture position. It is to be expected. However even worn connectors still work so always keep them as they will still work if you are selective where they go. New replacement parts are available to buy to replace any that are worn or if you want to expand your kit.
Expansion - Contraction
The system reacts differently in hot weather than it does in cold. In cold weather, as you would get in the winter months, the connectors contract causing them to be tighter than in the hotter months when they expand a little. The change is not something you can see, it is minute, but it happens and is expected. It does not alter the ability to build structures in all conditions.
Flexi Poles
After use you will find the flexible poles will be bent to the shape you created. Do not worry. They have a short term memory. Their structural memory will hold the most recent bend, however as soon as you start to create new bends, they immediately take on the new shape.
It makes them both incredibly flexible and very durable.
